Modern day ‘Cinderella law’ has roots in Georgian Britain.

Here is an article which highlights the past wisdom (of the enlightened Georgian Age) which was lost during the Victorian Age – the beginning of the industrial age when industrial forces played havoc with traditional family structures.

Perhaps this article misses the point that it is these structures which have been eliminated by modernity, and it will take more than a new law to recreate the missing, empathic family ties in what we wishfully call post-modern times.
