  1. Yes a good article
    Nurses probably have the greatest contribution to make in the psychiatric multi disciplinary team
    Unfortunately and probably because they are so important medics as the ultimate power carriers cannot stand this
    It is certainly true that the therapeutic relationship is the centre of treatment but while this power imbalance exists nurses are not really able to practice other than almost surreptitiously and fitting in around the work of other disciplines
    It is a tragedy for all concerned within the power structures
